Window tint removal

Does anyone have have some good advice on how to remove the window tint on front side windows? How tough is the job and what worked best for you.

Cheers,

I used a steamer (regular household steamer to get rid of wrinkles) to heat the tinted film, then easily peeled it off. In my case there were two layers of film so be careful to try and peel both together.

Once you peel the film off by hand, the sticky residue will come off easily with xylene or MEK. Just don't get synthetic solvents where you don't want them. Wet a rag and start wiping.

You should be able to lift a corner with a sharp knife or razor to get started.
