Single edge razor blade and lotsa work. Just did my son's 44 and my 11. Not a lot of fun. It will come off, but it takes persistence. They look so much cleaner with it off. And as much trouble as it is to get off you will never want to put it on again. Good luck.

Soapy water and a medium stiff brush to remove residue.

Very easy. Go to your local auto parts store and pick up a bottle of window tint removal spray. Spray it onto window. Cover window w/ sheets of plastic wrap (Saran, etc.). Wait at least an hour. Most of it will peel right off. Spray again and wipe w/ paper towels to get off glue residue. Do not use a razor blade on your rear window or you will cut your rear defroster element. I did my entire car in a couple of hours.

If you are removing the tint because its old and you want new tint, don't bother removing it if you are having a shop put on the tint. I know that most tint shops will remove the old to apply new tint, free of charge. Well this is the case in my area.

Just did my window tint in my 83SC, The tint was purple and old looking, I was able to save the rear defroster with no problem.
Here is the step by step:
Cover all areas you want to protect.
Spray pure amonia on glass give it a good blast.
Place a black plastic bag on the glass and Park the car facing the sun.
Wait about 1.5 hour
In the top corner take a new blade and cut into the tint, work slow and dont let the tint seperate.
Do the same in the opposite site top.
Pull the whole ting south in one piece.
This will save the rear window defoger.
YOU MUST DO THIS ON A SUNNY DAY IN ORDER FOR IT TO WORK!! I hope this helps.
