Throttle pos microswitch

On an 85 with the throttle microswitch that switches to WOT mapping in the DME, I'm wondering if it's supposed to send a signal to the DME at full open only or at about 3/4 of the range to full open. Bentleys say's full open only and the instructions that came with my Steve W chip say's 3/4 to full open. Which is it and does it matter. Mine starts to signal at 3/4.

Thanks

Gordon:
It's between 2/3's and 3/4 throttle plate position. I checked mine with the volt meter and confirmed it with LM1 on the fly.

Thanks JP. That's what mine is set at as well. Wonder why the manuals call for full open only. Spoke to Steve W about it and he said it's perfect where we have it and to not touch it. I think there was a bulletin out changing the full to 2/3 to 3/4 for the manuals.

Safe cruising JP
