Heads up for anyone replacing windshield seals.

I tried putting in my rear window a week or so ago with a new eal. For some reason, the seal ws not staying on in two of the corners. Anyways, after trying and trying, scratching my new paint, I decided to let the pros do it. First guy said he couldn't, second guy (different shop) tried and couldn't do it in the sceduled time so said to reschedule. I thought maybe the seal is wrong. Sure enough, I bought another one and compared to the one I previously received. The size was the same but the corners were much different. It seems for some reason or another, the lower lip that grabs the window on my new seal is probably a 1/4 longer than the first new seal. With the new seal I can take the bottom lip at the corners and overlap the upper lip and it will stay fine, the old seal can't.

I hope I can get my money back on the first.

Be warned, these seals suck.

David

More details on the seals? Were they OEM or aftermarket, where purchased, etc.
Thanks.
