So Dane, are you saying Komo news isn't accurate?

Well, Average HIGH temp for those Washington cities can be found here:
http://www.wrcc.dri.edu/htmlfiles/wa/wa.max.html

It says that Aug. in Ellensburg, the average HIGH is 83.4°

Do you know what the weather will be a week from now? Did you just come from an Al Gore seminar?

Mark Wilson 08-05-2005 10:46 AM

But it's a dry heat......

Does the tour go thru the Garden State?

I actually drove up one of those roads along the Columbia River years ago. Is the Hanford Res there somewhere? It was a very surreal bit of real estate.

Dane: Could it be that the Fraser Canyon was so hot for you because you passed the Polizei cruiser with your detector going wild and you wondering where the Radar came from? It came from the car you were passing and you must have been really getting hot when he pulled you over!
That was so funny. :)
Look, it usually is hot in August and we don't care about how drab Ellensburg is; it's the drive there that counts.
We'll find a pub, have a few cold ones, sleep, and have another drive the next day.
Stop whining and come along; we'll send you ahead as the bait car, the Radar will bounce right off that purple.

Man, soon it's rain again; let's have some fun. SmileWavy

As for the length of the drive, I suggest that we start early from Sedro-Wooley, meaning 6:30? Or 7:00? Anybody not there by five after can follow the map. Pick an obvious, open place for meeting. Is there a landmark someone can recommend?

Winthrop is a funky place for a short stop, maybe?
