Looking for 1975 911 color codes?

I'm looking for the site where 1975 Porsche color codes can be found. Every one I've looked at either doesn't go back that far or comes up empty in the search. I've done a thread search here. Guards Red (of course) but what's the code for this year?

Where can I find the color code for my 1975 on the car? Is it the on the sticker/plate in the drivers door jamb?

If so, mine says 408-9-1. What the heck does that mean?

Steve,

It identifies the paint code, the body manufacturer and the paint manufacturer (pretty irrelevant thirty years later.)

408 is Bitter Chocolate. 9 means Glasurit. 1 means it was painted by Porsche.
