Get rid of the Targa, but not before removing the go fast parts. The 993 is beautiful.

I'm sure Bill doesn't need to sell either beast, he's just rubbing it in. "Gee, what should I drive today?" A-hole.

Here's my suggestion for a plan of attack if you ever do decide to downsize:

*Swap 3.8L RS engine into blue car.
*Find decent used 3.0L engine, and put it in the targa.
*Replace all go-fast bits on targa w/ used oem.
*Sell Targa.
*Sell original blue car 3.6L engine.
*Sell Targa go-fast bits.
*Use all targa/parts/engine proceeds to turn that 993RS clone into a REAL monster.

I have a similar dilemma but more and more I've been leaning towards the 993; but hey it's the wifes, so I quess I like my '84 after all...

I love that blue. It reminds me of my '74 Mexico Blue Targa. At first I was unsure about the color but over time I fell in love with it.

Rick, you are going to love the 993, soooo many gears

mine is far from stock and would beat the pants off the silver one everywhere but at a stoplight drag
9&10 x18 streets, 8&10 x18 tracks, lots of RS pieces, mostly missing just the p/c

Yes, I am being an A** but I can't helpit, it's like being a kid at xmas again

K/D, the targa will still be great for sunny day cruises

I've got to get a sound byte of them together it's almost like being at the track

"Decisions, decisions"

Trade me straight up for my slow, boring '87 and Bernie/Paul's old '78 SC with a relocated 3.2.

Sound fair? Shoot me a PM and we'll work out the details......

I like Eric's idea. A little bit of legwork and some parts shuffling will net you one mega-bad 993. As if it's not bad enough already.

Good luck Bill.

Looks like the Tech. forum is slowly being invaded by the 993 models. For years, this place has been the stomping ground of the pre-89 cars. Is everybody getting soft in their old age?

Believe me, when they are setup right they are anything but soft
