Torque wrench with a lifetime warrenty

I'm going to stop by Sears this evening to check this out. I don't know what is the torque range, but I think this is great for those tight places. Best part is that is has a lifetime warrenty. Part number is 44599.

I'll give you a report later this evening.

I sent one to Evren some time ago. He reported back that it checked out well when comparing with a new click type wrench...evidently, they're a good unit.

But it is not great for tight places because the sensor is pretty long.

But it is not part of a two foot long shaft as are many click and beam type torque wrenches either so it may be useful in tight places.

I have been told that only Craftsman hand tools have a lifetime warranty. You might want to check into that.

Craftsman torque wrenches do NOT have a lifetime warranty. They are considered "percision" instruments and thus only carry a 90 day warranty.

This isn't a torque wrench. It's an add-on piece you use with your own ratchet set. The web site promises a lifetime warranty. Whether that's a mistake or not, I don't know.

I found out about the Craftsman "lifetime" warranty the hard way. My old clicker started to jump after 8 or 9 years of service, so I went back to Sears. To confirm what PCA7GGR said, they said it only had a 90 day warranty. I did not buy another one that day, but remained calm as I drove to Home Depot to compare

The Husky t. w. looked like a quality tool, actually nicer than the Craftsman, and had a real lifetime warranty. I told the associate about how Sears had disappointed me and he told me to bring my broken Craftsman in. He SWAPPED me for a new Husky on the spot, albeit without the plastic carrying case. Conquest sales, I guess; definite goodwill.

I like it! Now, if I could only find someone to wait on me at the Home Defect, I could get a free tool also. My Sears 3/8 drive torque wrench I used on motors completely fell apart loosing all calibration. I calibrated it enough to use on the suspension (I have a beam as well), but it's not going to see the inside of my motor.
