Can I used MSD blaster coil on stock CDI?
Hi,
I am currently trouble shooting my Permatune by swapping in a stock CDI I have. My problem is I do not have a blue coil. A friend of mine has a MSD Blaster coil I can borow. Will that work for testing? Thanks, David |

I am thinking of using the MSD Blaster coil with the stock CDI as well. This will work (?). I have a recently purchased Bosch silver coil that is starting to leak some brown goop.

A MSD Hi-Vibration coil will work fine with a stock CDI box. I have one on my '82, and no problems for a year now. I went through 3 Bosch (made in Brazil!) coils in about 6 months. All leaked out the top.
