guards red paint code?

Was there only one guards red paint code over the years or are there different colors for different years?

Since I have the little red book out for another question.....

From what I can tell....It looks like the guards red exterior paint code changed over the years:

pre 74 Guards red doesnt seem to be a option....
74-88 = 027
89 - 90 = 80K
91 - 99 = G1

Don't know if the actual color is different or not.....

99 is as late as my red book goes and the best I can tell...

According to Tony Corlett's book the 3.2 Carrera was never painted Guards Red. The 84-86 was India Red, paint code 027, and the 87-89 was Indian Red, paint code 80K. Doesn't say if it's really a different color or the same color with a different name.
