brake upgrade....
what is going to be the easiest front brake upgrade for a stock 76 911S. I'm interested in "bolt-on", not something cobbled together. I have 15 inch track wheels. I have heard that later 928 fronts work...anybody have experience with these?

Bolt on? The wider A and M calipers from a Carrera....anything else worth doing beyond that are not going to be cheap or easy...if you want bolt on with no budget concerns....there are lots of options...951, 930, 993, 996....etc..
Look for Bill Verburg's brake upgrade page.. |

If you have a stokish '74 the Carrera brakes are fine, your stockers are too w/ a liittle help in the pad and cooling dept.

Speedo, your brakes are fine dude! What you need are some badass track tires. The only thing bigger brakes will do is lock up your streets with less effort....
Oh, and don't forget to cross-drill your brake lines! Best bang-for-the-buck upgrade ever. Last edited by porschenut; 08-25-2005 at 04:09 PM.. |

Yeah , and they help save a bunch of weight too! Yeah, who needs brake pressure? They slow you down- the whole idea is to go faster! ![]() ![]() ![]() |
