HELP: I need the MSD and TBITZ EFI gurus here

I just installed the 6AL using the 6-pin harness and spade connectors. I cut the small red wire for the rev limiter for 6cyl engines. Tried to crank and it wont start. I have it wired correctly and have checked and checked again. I tried the procedure in the MSD manual to trouble shoot the ignition system by shorting the magnetic pickup wires and checking for spark out of the coil. I got a nice big spark, but it still won't start. I plugged my permatune back in and it started right up. Plug the MSD back in and nothing.

Any suggestions? If I am getting good spark at the coil with the MSD why is it not starting?

Ok, I think my problem might be my fuel injectuion trigger not working properly with the MSD trigger. The manual for the MSD says you may need a tach adapter if you foriegn car with fuel injection does not run. I also got it to start by spraying starter fluid into the intake so my engine was not getting fuel. What I think is happening is there is the MSD unit is taking the trigger signal and not enough current is left for the EFI to use. Does this sound correct?

Does anyone with TBITZ EFI have MSD?

The blue wire from your Tbitz efi harness goes to the small spade plug recessed in the side of the msd box. It has to have that wire plugged in to work.

So I need to open up my megasquirt box and reconnect the blue wire and connect the blue wire in the engine bay directly to the tach output on the MSD without using the tach adapter connector? Is this correct?

OK, it's working now. Thanks Flipper, I completly forgot about the blue wire and MSD. I didn't need to reconnect the small wire inside the ECU either.
