Installing a Pertronix Ignitor on my 1971 911 S. Wiring Question.

Hi, I'm going to install a Pertronix Ignitor on my 1971 911 S.

The Pertronix instructions don't match what I found on my car.
There are two wires on the points connector on my distributor.
One purple and black and the other is brown.

And there are also two on the positive side of the coil.
Both are green with a yellow tracer.

Do I just connect the red Ignitor wire to the POS side of the coil and the black to the NEG side ?
If so, then where do the two existing points/distributor wires get hooked into the loop ? At the coil ?

Thanks for your time.

Use the search function, your answer should be in there.

From what I remember only a few early year Porsche's used condensors and could be hooked up to the coil.

Like almost everyone else, I found an unused electrical spare under the black fuse cover (on the drivers side of my 77 engine bay) to hook up to. Red wire to fuse box for non-condensor cars.
