Which Ferodo on Pelican?

Which Ferodo pads does Pelican sell?

There seems to be plenty of love out there for the DS2000 pads, but I can't seem to find out which pads -- of the 4 or 5 Ferodo types in BillV's comparo chard -- that Pelican sells.

Sorry for the "yet another pad question," but I've been searching for 30 minutes and can't find an answer.

For mostly street you will probably want 2500s

I've been happy with the 2500s for both street and a good deal of track use. A good choice at a reasonable price IMO

I used some Ferodo pads, and really liked them. Heat seemed to not affect them, and they were completely quiet. Other pads I've tried seem to act differently depending on how hot they are.

The ones Pelican sells are not DS2500. They're street pads. I can't remember the designation, but I want to say "Deluxe." I have a set of them at home and I know for a fact that they're not the 2500's like I cooked at my last event.

Kevin is right. I was in a rush and installed a set on my Carrera without thinking....a few sessions at the track with the Deluxe pads and I was rubbing metal!

The 2500's work great! I loved them on my lighter '76 911, but it seems they are not up to the task on heavier cars.....right Kevin.

i called a couple weeks ago to inquire about the same exact question and was unable to have it clearified even in a call back from customer support.

i ended up going with the 2500 from another vendor.

The 2500's are very very hard to get sometimes. We try to stock a couple of set on the shelf for client cars when the supply is available. I would suggest the same if you like them, and they work well on the track. My rush and mis-application of the Deluxe pads was due to a depleted stock

Thanks guys. I've been running the Ferodo "whatevers" that Pelican sells this year, and after 4 DEs they are doing fine. My only comparison is OEM, so I've got a pretty limited outlook on the world.

I've done the other standard brake stuff (rebuilt calipers, ATE, SS lines, no backing plate, AJ cooling + blocking plate), and it sounds like this has really been the upgrade -- not the pads.

Just to close out the thread, I thought I'd let you all know that I put on Pagid Yellow the night before DE at Pacific Raceways, and WOW, what a difference!

I was careful to bed them in before hitting the track of course, and after I got used to the extra grab, I was braking several car lengths later (on the straights), and there was absolutely zero fade.

Nice on the street as well... good bite when cold. I'm a convert!
