Question on front shock replacement

I am replacing the front shocks on a 74 Carrera with Koni Classics inserts. The instructions say to put 50ml of oil in the strut housing. What type and weight of oil is recommended.

I used a mixture of antifreeze and regular motor oil, there should be some in there already..

I've used ATF. It's to help the heat transfer from the insert to strut body.
