Project finished! No nothing about sports car tires. Need suggestions feedback for 1976 911 Targa.
Will not race, drive in snow, or drive hard. Need grippy, comfort riding tire that doesn't wear out in 15,000 miles. Thanks Dan |

I currently run the Michellin Pilot XGT V4 - 205 / 60 / R15 90V
Street use, daily driver, 'spirited driving', in Oregon (lot's of rain) and they have worked great rain or shine. Not too loud, fairly comfortable, I already have a pretty rough ride w/ being lowered a little. These are my first set of tires (there were really old Perilli's on the car when I bought it) so I don't have another brand to compare to. I have wondered if I am feeling some sidewall flex or I am just feeling my old car roll around a little. I have not been to any DE or AX days though, so can't comment on occassional track use. Cost about $100 each.

I just bought some Yokohama ES 100s. I like them alot. Not too loud, too harsh, and they grip pretty well. Cost effective too. I think I paid $80 for 205/50/16s.
I will say I have never had a good experience with Pirelli. I know there are those who swear by them, as above perhaps, but I've found them to be loud and difficult to balance. My 77 shook like a wet dog with new Pirellis on. I finally gave in and got the Yokes. No more shaking. I've also had good luck with all manner of Michelin. Basically I stick to those two-Michelin and Yokohama. |

How about the Fuzion ZRI? They have plenty of grip, great treadwear and work quite well in the wet.
Did i mention dirt cheap? A tire size would be helpful as a lot of good tires don't come in 15" sizes.

Just my .02, but there aren't any tires that won't wear out on the rear of an sc after 15,000 miles. Unless you're driving miss daisey.
