This is my dream car - can't wait to see how it progresses.
Also, I've got stacks of photos of the Jaegermeister car at the Le Mans classic - should you need any reference. |
Awesome color and great post.
Have the rear quarter panels been installed to keep the car as a SWB or are you going to go to a LWB? I have an rsr replica based on a similar vintage 1968 chassis and your post has caused me to consider an update. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1128075155.jpg Thanks, Richard. |
Very nice, keep up the good work.

Hello,
Thanks for comments. Car will stay SWB but using customised trailing arms made by my mechanic. Rear coil overs by Bilstien and Racers Group adjustable rear spring plates. |
Are there a lot of cars in South Africa that are right hand drive, do you drive on the right side or the left side of the roads there ?

Heh Todd.
We drive on the left here, all standard cars are RHD and so are all the new Porsches here as we have a Porsche dealer here and they are only allowed to import RHD cars. A lot of the older Porsches are LHD and a RHD car is worth far more here than a LHD. |
Fantastic, looking good already

very nice...that is a great color!

Can't wait to see it with the Jagermeister graphics. It one of my favourite Porsche of all time. Can't do the car but plan to get a T shirt :) http://www.ddk-online.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=6898&highlight= |
Thanks for comments guys.
Tom, I have seen your project car on the board, unbelievable, the craftsmanship looks fantastic. In answer to you question, we are running a 1994 964 3.6 motor, european spec, with RUF chip, PMO 50mm carbs, weltmeister solid engine and gearbox mounts, RSR pulley hub, 915 gearbox, with factory short shifter. Hoping the chassis will weigh under 1000kg and that should make for a quick fun toy. Sameer, did you post updates of your RUF project when you were building if so, please advise the link details i would love to see it. Thanks once again guys |
Hi Johnie, what a super car. I have just joined teh forum and I have a project under way similar to yours. Here is my question:
I have an excellent body of a 1969 long wheel base 912 and I would like to put a 3.0 or a 3.2 engine with a 915 tranny in. I noticed that the engine mounts are different. Do I need to do anything to the chassis to install the six-cylinder engine mounts? I can see on the back of the chassis legs two triangles (one on each side). Is it sufficient to drill there and install the new engine mounts, or do I have to re-enforce them to withstand the heavier engine weight. Also, can the tranny be mounted without problems? the 912 tranny (901) has a relatively small mount bracket? How many brackets does a 915 gear box/diff require? please advise? regards mad prof |
Once again I have been forced to sport major wood!
