supnsion setup question

I've started to look at potential suspension upgrades for my Turbo Cab. The shop I go to quoted me ~5K for replacement of the torsion bars and sway bars. The work would also include upgrading all the bushings (solid). This would give me ride height adjustment and a tighter ride. This does not include new shocks. They tell me at the shop that this setup is OK. for street.

2 things.

Should I replace the shocks since I have 61K (and climbing rapidly) or stick with what i have since they work OK. still?

Is this cost (parts and labor) reasonable?

You'll need to provide a more specific list of the parts that are going in. "sway bars" and "bushings" is too generic.

Prices vary a great deal with competing products, and you get what you pay for.

$5k could be very reasonable for the right parts and labor. Or it could be a rip.

As for shocks, what type do you have? High pressure Bilsteins lose their gas charge with age, regardless of mileage.

Boges would not be up to the planned suspension upgrades.

@65k miles, you are approaching end of life anyway.
