OT: Drove through large puddle...

Sorry its off topic...or maybe not so much since porsche is buying a stake in Vw. Anywayy...

Last night I drove through a 16 inch puddle in my Audi A4 that I could not avoid by the time I saw it. I had a couple inches of water in the drivers front and rear footwell areas. Having worked at an Audi dealer and seeing what they have done in the past, I removed the seat and carpet. I proceeded to shop vac all the water out of the foam, carpets and floorboards and let it sit for the past day with industrial fans drying it out. Everyone here tells me I should be ok since I got to it right away, but I am worried about problems in the future.

Anyone have any insight or similar past experiences? I called my insurance agent, but she has been bombared my similar calls i'm sure.
