Help me out- what do you think of this car for sale? UPDATE- PPI Today-would you buy?

UPDATE- PPI is being done now-

A little rot by the windshield

Lots of touched-up scratches

Engine/hood shock absorbers bad

Insulation above engine is falling

License plate light broke

Roof Trim is off

Gas Filler door rattles

Passenger seat loose

Compression: 175/165/175/165/175/175

Brakes will need to be replaced- disks and pads

Nail in tire

Left C/V boot shot

Shocks bad

Left front bearing slightly bad

Seller will take $15.5

I've been looking for a while and even driven 5 cars with no success- what do you think of this one @ $16.5

988 911 Carrera Cabriolet. Classic style. Great condition. Navy Blue with dove grey int. Runs smooth. Newer rims/top and clutch. The car is 17 years old but looks and runs great. AC only blows cool air but everything else works. Needs nothing. No oil leaks.

Not enough detail to really know. But assuming it passes a PPI the price is definitely right.

Make sure you get a "pre-purchase" check out done on it.

Drive it with the top up and through a car wash - make sure it does not leak and wind noise is ok for you.

Looks like a bargain if the PPI checks out. Those seats look like sport seats to me.

If the car passes PPI, at that price, I would certainly not let the cup wheels stop my purchase.

How many miles? Check the maint history and get a PPI.

It will need new shocks and suspension bushings unless they have been done. I replaced both on my 87 (65K miles) and I couldn't believe the difference.

16.5 is a good buy if it passes a PPI....

150k on the car- I know it needs new shocks already, but other than that the only thing I was told it needs is floormats-

Please, if you must drive your car into a car wash, use a touchless one.

With 150K on the clock, I would want a full leak down and compression check with the PPI. If the car needs a rebuild and a suspension refresh, the price isn't too good. If the engine is up to snuff and you do your own wrenching on the suspension you should be ok.

Leak down test - cabs rule - that color combo is awesome in person - if you don;t mind keeping the seats clean.

I'm no pro but I would be doing most of the work myself- I also have a friend at a tire shop who could help me out on things I couldn't do-

The Carfax scares me, but the other registrations seem to be errors
