Another bumper question...show my nuts?

I posted before where I was removing the pads and trim from my rear bumper, and making it work with the euro plate. Well now I just need to work on either covering the mounting bolts/nuts or leaving them exposed for the world to see!

Here are some pics...what do you think?

Here is the bumper with nuts showing.

Close up view with the nuts showing, and a view of the plate lights.

Now with a reflector covering the nuts

Close up with reflector.

I like the idea of either painting them the same color, covering them with a same color plastic cap, or reversing the studs and hiding them completely. Adding the reflector isn't bad, but it just isn't for me IMHO.

I used drilled out the studs on the bumper shocks and used carriage bolts running form the outside in.

I purchased them at a place in Kaiserslautern Germany called Trost...they have a bunch of different style lights.

Oh great, now I have ANOTHER project to do on my 911. Thanks alot.
Seriously, I like the "no trim" look on the rear. What are you doing for the front, though?
BTW-The reflectors don't seem to fit in with the car, IMO. Maybe flat ones?

IMO, you really need to put that rear valance back on. The car looks sort of incomplete to me without it. As for the reflectors, no offense, but they make that nice round butt the 911s have sort of "rice" looking with your car. I would use painted caps back there to smooth things out.

Very clean-well done.

I don't mind the bumperettes. But, if I did make a change, I would do what you did.

nobody asked about the rear lamps. I want to see a shot from further back if youve got one. Looks like they're smoked on the side? very clean

Rear Bumper

I am in the process of building two molds, right and left, so I can produce a much smaller rear bumper pad. It will use the existing mounting holes and accept the stock license plate lite and secure the end of the rubber bumper strip and match the existing rubber trim.

The pad will be approx 2 inches thick and have a reduced "foot print" of approx 55% of the original US pad. We hope to have it ready in 60 days through Pelican Parts.

I have attached a sample of a few of the other parts we are making.

I found using an illuminated license bracket or "litning boltz" in a stock plate to light up the plate is a very simple clean install. I sometimes wonder if the huge bumper pad is just to light up the plate. You can reverse the studs of hide the bolts, but the carriage bolt idea is a simpler method that looks nice.
