Problem removing cruise control - vacuum lines
Yesterday I was pulling off some weight off my '80 911SC which included removing the cruise control system from the engine compartment.
When I was removing the cruise control soleniod it had two vacuum lines attached to it, one small and one large. I saw where the small vacuum line attached to the engine but when I was pulling out the cruise solenoid the large vacuum line came out with the solenoid like it wasn't connected to anything on the engine side. Now I'm paranoid that I have a sizeable vacuum leak somewhere on the backside (frontside?) of the engine. Does anyone know where the other end of the large vacuum line connects to my 3.0 engine? I'm thinking I might need to get a mirror and look around to see if there is a hole that needs to be plugged. I'm thinking I would hear a vacuum leak of that size but I want to be sure that I haven't left anything unplugged. Thanks for the help, -Scott |

It doesn't hook to anything. It is a vent.
Your lucky day...
