Some real satisfaction comes from riding off road. No rules; just what your skill will allow. I love the aggression and air of motocross, and the concentration it take to ride fast on single track trails. I love my new 05 KTM ex/c 200. That Valkyrie is the ugliestbike I've ever seen....except a Rune.

It is just a bit Gaudy with all of that chrome Motor just hanging out there in plain view..... But, it really doesn't matter what it looks like, as long as the taillight looks good, 'cuz that is all anyone gets to see up to about 120 mph ![]()

Bikes are fun. Its a similar situation to the novelty/comraderie/exoticness of 911's. I know some consider bikes too dangerous, but a lot of people would (and do) consider our old 911's too dangerous. But bikes have a lot of safe attributes, too, being so nimble and having great braking capabilities (911's excell here too, for cars).
I still ride although not as much as I used to. But whacking the throttle and hanging on as the tach swings past 10k rpm will bring a smile to my face anyday. You can't know unless you've been there. |
