I have a strange “flasher” problem on my 1974 Targa, which I’m wondering if this may be related to the above?

When pulling the stalk to flash I get:
With no lights on = full-beam flash
With sidelights ON = dip-beam flash
With dip-beam ON = full-beam flash

Thoughts anyone?
