socket size to remove factory wheel?
I am trying to remove a wheel of my 86 carrera...anyone have the socket size?
thanks! |
Going from memory here...in '72 I believe it's 27mm...you might give it a try.

a full set of metric sockets is quite handy , you just try sizes till it fits...
i'm sure it's worth the money if you have a german car... |
As I said in another post...it's right there with a search...
----------------------------------------------------------------------- properly, 27 mm....or even 1 1/16"..... will work 27mm= 1.0630" 1 1/16" = 1.0625 Almost no difference....you will have clearance problems, though...probably better to go in with a short socket and an extension..instead of a long socket. John, good seeing you the other day, let me know when you'll be back up, we'll do dinner. 27 will do it.
You left just in time, it snowed today. :( |
