Seat Backs Interchangeable Left to Right??

Heres my problemm I have just bought a nice pair deep bolstered porche sports seats from a 944 for transplant into my 911. The problem is the drivers seat is fully electrical and the passengers is not these are from a RHD car and mine is LHD. So in my car the passengers seat would be electric with the drivers not been. I want to swap them so the electrical seat is on my drivers side this will mean that the adjustment switch will be on the opposite side which I don't see as a problem however the catch for moving the seat forward for access to the rear seats will be on the wrong side so my idea is to swap the two seat backs. Anyone know if they are interchangeable between the electric and non electric and also from a left to right seat base?

Thanks Steve

Hi Steve,

Just switch out the seat themselves. They can be easily moved left for right, etc. The seat rails are the same, the seats are about the same, and the only down-side is that the back adjuster and the back release will now be in the inside, rather than the outside.

But you can get used to that easily, and now your seats won't wear differentially. Just go slow with the wiring underneat the seats, and don't yank at anything.

By the way, the wifie's Miata can't do this, and her driver's seat is very worn, and the passneger seat is still brand new. And this after 80,000 miles!!!!
