O2 sensor plug needed for B&B headers

To all,

I installed my new B&B headers this weekend and ran into a small problem. I drove for about 20 minutes and the exhaust changed pitch and sounded like an obvious leak. I limped home and found that the o2 sensor plug fell out that came with the headers.

What size plug is this and will a hardware store have a stainless steel replacement?

Blaine

Screw a standard spark plug into it and forget it! Might put some never sieze on the threads.

The hole appeared to be quite a bit larger than a sparkplug. I will double check.

I've had this Post-It stuck to my monitor for years (along with 20 others containing Porsche trivia). It says the O2 sensor thread is M18 x 1.5 and that a drain plug from a Toyota truck will fill the void.

Hope this helps,
Sherwood

911pcars,

You are correct. A quick trip down to the parts store and I found a rack with drain plugs. M18 x 1.5 is the ticket.

Thanks,

Blaine
