I second the clear vinyl approach.....

Alternative.....magnetic "sheet" cut to fit.... cheap from sign shops....removable too if you want to do this for the street.

But, magnet stuff doesn't work so well on carbon fiber or fiberglass ;)

posts like these are going to cost me money.

I was hoping to see you car in at the NE fall run but we kept getting rained out. Great looking car! I can't wait to see it in person some day.

Grant, do you do this yourself? I did the whole front of my G-series 911 with clear stuff and am about to do another one. PITA! The flat areas are easy, but there are some tricky parts on the valance and bumpers.

Hi Andy - No, I had it done by a really great local expert, The Bra Man. However, I just directed a friend there and said his shop was closed. It's improtant to have someone do it who knows their stuff. I'd ask the dealer who does their work...

Sweet

Ahhh...yep.. magnetic doesn't "stick" well to 'glass.... forgot 'bout that.

Comment then reverts to "generic" status...for use by others.

Good catch ! ... :)

Tom -

What is the paint code for your car, would love to paint my 930 that orange!

tom1394racing 02-01-2007 02:09 PM

Paint is the standard Porsche OEM "signal orange".

Mr9146 02-01-2007 06:08 PM

Never seen this car before ... it's very sweet.

Is there a detailed thread on Tom's car? Engine specs? Etc.?

tom1394racing 02-01-2007 06:58 PM

This thread has a detailed description with links to the project

Tom
If you need someone to apply clear bra material I have a friend that does it for many high end dealers. He lives in Westchester Co.(I think that is fairly close to you?) I have been meaning to have some done on my car but have not gotten around to it. I can put you in touch with him if you like. If he ends up doing your car I would have him do mine at the same time , I would love to see your car.

tom, that car is just awesome. dang. nice. that's my dream car. anyway, i would put a clear bra on it you can buy at a dealer or online. that should protect your car's nose. good luck!
