Project nearly complete, but too loud!
I have just about completed my 911 project, one issue I now have is that the car is too loud. I have a Timmins exhaust system and am looking for ways to quiet it down and get rid of the annoying interior resonance. Has anyone tried the CCinserts from Car Chemistry?
I will post pics of the car later, but here is what I have done to the car so far: Originally a 1982 911SC Targa 3.6 engine conversion bare metal respray (now black) cabriolet conversion RUF yellowbird bumpers 964 side skirts 993 door handles 964 windshield 964 rear decklid and electric tail Timmins exhaust system 18" 3 piece wheels some other odds and ends.

I have a 3.6 conversion in my '88.
I initially went with the car chemistry inserts to dampen the sound of the b&b header fabspeed exhaust setup. I exchanged emails with a couple of folks that have been happy with the results of the inserts. I simply put the inserts at the outlet of the muffler before the tips. It did help, but I ended up eventually installing a dynomax muffler to quiet it even more. I have no use for the inserts and will happily sell them for half of what I paid since they are just sitting in my garage. PM me if you're interested. -Bernie

Thanks for the info. BTW, anyone know, off-hand, the diameter of the exhaust tube Timmins uses between the headers and muffler? Keep me from having to dismantle my exhaust to measure it!!!
Thanks
