Car is out on the ring just as we are speaking, doing turist laps and settling the chassis. Car was found to be too hard so Öhlins dampers were dialed back.

The real deal starts on thursday, when Scuderia Hanseat starts. It means 1.2 bar chip and track free of turists.

We are modest. As long as car runs faster than the grey car on pic that just entered the ring we'll be satisfied ;)

P.S. I believe that understteer problems were accentuated by the facts that car runs 315's on the back and is quite widened...rear wheels are three inch longer out then usual, which means that there is at least 6 inches of increased lever that tries to keep car straight when diff locks.

It was a design thing so it must be that way. Let's hope it goes fast anyway.

Four cameras are to be installed on car on thursday and there will be a DVD with in-car video, build pics and whatnot.

OK, car just went 8.06 BTG with lot's of traffic and 0.8 bar, which is all time high and one second better then all time high of 8.07 last time on 1.2 bar, two years ago.

Car jumps all over the place, Jocke assumes it's Frankenmuffler that weights too much, hanging in the rear which makes car oscillate.

That muffler design is sure unique. Adds litteral meaning to "out of the box" thinking. Ha!
So just how does one go about getting such a cool job anyway?

Very impressive ! I particularly like the (short) part from the Ring(?) with the camera on the roof.

Rather impressed with the Audi Quatro too.

But why, oh why, does is seem mandatory for motor videos to have disturbing, high volume hard core rock music during the whole piece ? IMO it gives the whole thing a bit of teenage class. Would like to hear a few comments from the builders and drivers and above all the wonderful sound of the engine.

But I guess its a marketing issue - it sells videos.

and ya, that quattro drive is a sideways mofo, though he does seem to make u be the one to avoid the contact
