ROW a/c
On my '84 911 (row) I don't have a forward condenser, the one that appears under the nose of most US cars. It looks like it has always been that way as I can see no holes and I have no trace of the hoses etc inside the drivers wheel well,......yet I do have a condenser on the rear deck as well as the compressor.
Was this typical of row cars, or is mine just, well, an "exception." THANKS, Rich

My 80 ROW SC has a rear deck lid condensor and an aftermarket rear quarter mounted condensor. No condensor up front.

Contact HughR here on the board. He has an 84 ROW, and has done lots of work and research on ROW a/c.

Hi!
Same with me. I have a '78 SC and no sign of a front condensor or fan. I only have a small dime sized drain hole in the front. Brad

My ROW had an after market a/c system with no front condensor. If you buy a used one (I'll see you one cheap with a hole in it). You'll need the squirrel cage fan in the trunk, or as an alternative, I used a couple of high speed 12 volt computer fans.
