My 993..that I pick up tommorow!! XmAs rules ;-)

Here ya go,

I did not have quite the cash to get the color I wanted.........AND my loan stipulated that I buy from a dealer.....so this is what I am getting...

'95 993 with 55.000 miles
So Cal Car

Tan interior. Car is REALLY clean..........I don't have pics of the actual car BUT these PICS are of the same color as mine.

34.000$ out the door........(so that is with taxes etc.)

Is the color to "GUIDO" or cool? (I do like the way the red back-lights go with the color) Thoughts?

SvK

The guys at Truspeed seemed pretty cool when I was shopping there. At one point a Rennlister bought a 96 or 97 993 from them and Truspeed footed the bill for tear down and repair of the motor to fix the SAI problem that a PPI at Hergesheimers identified. Pretty good dealership in my book.

congrats! Seems like a lot of us are either getting or trying to get into newer cars these days :)

To me the ULTIMATE style for a new 911 would be a 993 with the back lights of a 997.

They also use Doctor Detail for there details, and he has been doing my cars for over 15 years.

I love the color. There's nothing wrong with white, black, silver or any of the other more common colours. But I really dig cool colours like yours that you don't see everyday ( at least where I live ). Congrats and I hope it's a great ownership!

Don Plumley 12-20-2005 06:33 PM

Congrats! I'm looking at one on Friday...

Awesome color. I think the color goes well with that car. Best of luck with it. Mine is the Silver blue Metalic - so I stand out a littlle too.

What up? Seems like just a few weeks ago we were looking at pics of the great 3.0 upgrade. Now you've done a 180, ditched it, and bought something else?

Nice man! We need pics as soon as you get it... or... get back home from driving it!

svonkampen 12-20-2005 06:59 PM

ianc.......

yup

The '68 is awesome, BUT not for everyday all the time driving.........plus I'm impulsive......A hang-over from my "Hang-over" days ;-)....I will miss my classic '68 very much.........

If I had resources I would have both. 993 for the week and classic for the week-ends.....

Blau911 has 2 perfect 10 "time capsule 67s's" He wants another classic car that is quick and that he can drive hard (my car)

How cool is it that my '68 was born in the old-country 37 years ago, and gets to return there now?!

BTW he is repainting her to the original Tangerine color....

Your going to love it. The 993's really are great cars. I really like that color too. I had my 97 for about a year and just sold it to buy a Twin Turbo. Good luck with it.

Also, about the car that Truespeed paid for part of the top end job... That car was bought on ebay with a known CEL problem for a very low price and somehow made it's way cross country to Truespeed. The CEL had been reset by someone and the new owner didn't drive it 200 miles and it came back on. He found out about the ebay deal and went to Truespeed with the info. I'm not sure if Truespeed knew the history, but they really had no choice but to help him out.

I'm so used to the 901 "dog leg" trannie.....

hheeeeeeeeheeeee....

gotta remember that 1st is now left and up!

Gorgeous car.

Congrats, great Christmas present. I love the color and it shines like it's one month old rather than 10 years.

The location of first gear does take some getting use to. I've had my 993 2 months and I still have some hesitation about going from 2nd to 1st; it's too darn close to reverse; but the tranny is so smooth.

By the way, what options are on your 993?
