Yellowbird color code?

Anyone got the CTR Yellowbird color code handy?

Is it what's commonly referred to as "Speed Yellow"?

Some pictures I've seen of the Yellowbird seems to be different shades of yellow. Was there a standard RUF/Porsche yellow color code used in the 80's?

I have always thought that the "Yellow Bird Yellow" was a great color. Any definitive answers?

I thought it was just Porsche's Speed Yellow.

I love this picture (& color). What an animal.

I know the NACA ducts were disfunctional in that location, but personally, I think it looks great and gives the Yellowbird more character.

I'll be replicating this exact look.

I've got connections to Alois Ruf. I can try to find out if you still need to know...

I thought anything past the apex of trailing curvature creates a downward force? Once air got to the top of the wheel well wouldn't it be sucked down into the duct?

just curious

Apparently not in the RUF CTR's case. The mass of air being drawn through the tail apparently created a "pressure spot" around where these NACA vents were and air was actually being pushed out instead

I saw a LOTUS ELISE this morning and I really like the color.

It's called SAFFRON YELLOW

I'm thinking this would be a good color for the Yellowbird.

This is from an old post on the yellowbird
"The paint code for the color of our yellowbird is Por139 blütengelb. "
Hope that helps. By the way RUF will answer just about any question, all you have to do is e-mail them.

Thanks piedogger.

I e-mailed RuF USA and had no response

Is this something one can purchase off the shelf at any reputable auto paints shop, or is it an "only available from RUF" special?

That translates as Blood Yellow, I think (not Signal nor Speed, I guess)

Sorry, I was talking about RUF in Germany. The other ones are just authorised dealers.

Just to clarify: "blutengelb" means blossom yellow.
