911SC Question
Im helping my dad look at an '81 911sc, and had a couple questions: First, the car in question has side markers on the front fenders just behind the front wheel wells, does this mean it is a Euro car? The VIN is WPOZZZ91ZBS102563. If it is a Euro car, will there be issues getting it smogged in CA? Thanks in advance.

The side marker lights are a Euro feature. I don't have my Red Book handy, so I can't decode the VIN, but it is likely that it is a Euro car based on the markers. Regarding smog, has the owner had it registered in CA? If so, it probably won't be a problem. If it is a Euro car, you should get ahold of the history and find out how, when and why the car was brought into the US and whether or not it was properly federalized.
