What are these Toggle Switches in my Door Jamb?
I bought the car from the original owner through a dealer, so I never got to ask the original owner! Haven't touched them because I'm afraid the car will blow up if I do!

My guess is switches for arming/disarming an alarm.

They are for punching in a binary code (the correct number of on/off sequence) to arm/disable the ignition coil powered high voltage anti-theft deterrent wired to the seat springs...
...or not

call the dealer he should have the original owners number some where... worth a try. just explain to him why . Have the dealer call and ask for you, and have the dealer give your number to the original owner, that way if he wants to talk it would be on him.

It may be worth a try. My car was leased by four physicians from new. I wrote them letters (address on receipts) and sent pics and all were happy to talk with me - they wanted to. Could not get one of the off the phone and another scolded me for the seats looking a little tired.

It is clear they are 100% aftermarket and they could be anything at all. Most likely some aftermarket alarm. You best bet is to figure out just what they do and get rid of that system. Almost every aftermarket alarm system is a horrible bodge of splices to your electrical system. You will find many no start threads on the board about alarm systems causing problems.

Not wired to the main harness, but possibly controlling the nuclear reactor contained within the door shell!

Pfffftttt.... you guys have no idea what you're talking about. Hello, McFly! You have to open the door to access the switches!
The one on the left is a cloaking device that makes the car look like an AMC Pacer when you don't want to be bothered by the wimmens when you're rolling up to the club or your crib. Too much P-car bling for them to handle sometimes, you understand? The one on the right folds the headlights down to reveal the machine guns. Targeting system is built into your Ray Bans. You press the button on your cufflink to fire them. Rookies.
