oil line "T"stat-front cooler

I bought a 86 911 and as many probably are -some one put a jack where it should not have been put and almost closed up this oil line. Would it be advisable or not to change it out with a flexable hydrolic line. I could do it for about $300. less than buying a new line. Any Thoughts?

You can buy a used set of OEM lines either in the classifieds or from one of the dismanlers for about $400.

Look in the archives. Many options for repair and/or replacement.

Non OEM for the main oil lines have not been recommended by most. I think when you read a few searches you will come to this conclusion.

Press the "search" button at the top of the screen or the bottom of the message area.

Type in some key search words or phrase (e.g. oil cooler line, external cooler, crushed oil line, etc.).

Enjoy the reading. There's lots of info.
