Pierre,

Tell us more about your 911. What modifications were done? When were they done? Who did them? What is the history of your 911? Important information.

What are your plans with the 911? Since the Euro is so strong, how about a tour of the US & Canada? You will find host Porsche enthusiasts everywhere.

Best,
Grady

I have a '74 911S as well but as my racecar. The S engine diff is about 10-15 hp US spec between the normal '74 911 depending on what you believe/read (165 vs 150). Believe it or not, my '74S originally was a sportomatic. Not sure how many '74 911S were sportomatics either. My car's oil tank is for a sporto.

Bill,

Cool, the Sportomatic oil tank has larger capacity, I think by 2 liters.

Drag my sorry a$$ out and let me take a look (and images for Pelican).

Best,
Grady

We are having the best snow in two decades, come ski Vail. Febuary is the best month. I'll even organize a Porsche party.

Best,
Grady

Hi Grady,
Very nice !
But I live in France ! Far from USA & Canada.
Moreother, I will have a new baby in february... I can't travel :-(

I baught my 911 8 years ago, in Porsche shop (?)
I made no modification.

The previous owner made some modifications (larger tires, new fuch wheels, new paint, new leather seats).

I found some rust on the floor. I need the repair that as soon as possible.
The car was originally a 911 (150 bhp). It now has a 911S engine.

k9handler, where do you live ?
Tu parles français ?

Pierre,

Congratulations on your infant.

Why don’t both of you come skiing next week. Skiing while very pregnant is perfectly acceptable. Besides, after your child is born you guys will be very restricted to home. This way you both get some sleep on the plane from Paris to Denver and back. You won’t get any sleep starting in February.

Sounds like you have a 2.7S engine. Are the 7 & 8” Fuchs? If you hang around this forum much you will have a Varioram soon. Hehe.

Seriously, this forum can help with almost any issue with your 911. Stay in touch.

I’m serious about your all coming here to ski. France isn’t so far away physically. It is only a flight away. Of course the politician think otherwise. The high Rockies have the best snow in the world. Besides, you now have new-found Pelican Porsche friends to host you.

Best,
Grady
