What bumpers are going this car?
Fuchs are not for every 911.

I'd explore newer rims in an 18inch diameter for a C2/964.

If it is an early 911 backdate I'd say Fuchs.
Imo Fuchs on a 993 just don't look right.

This will be an IROC look car.
I am exploring the possibility of having a mould of the RSR wheels made so that we can then have the RSR/917 replica wheels made in any diameter, size and offset.

These will be cast wheels. I will have a second set of Kodiak, BBS or Fikse for the track, where look is secondary to performance.

Let me know if anybody is interested in a group buy of the RSR wheels.

I'm pretty sure you can get wheels cut on a 3-D CAM tool. I don't think you would need to cast your own. That might be more cost effective?

The biker guys do this type of custom wheels all the time.

I'm interested Matteo but Doug is right, a CAD/CAM cut center that can be bolted to rim outers the same way the Kraftwerkz wheels are made is better, stronger, lighter and probably cheaper. I think the Kraftwerkz centers are cast, or at least they look that way, but a piece milled out would allow you to replace dinged lips, change offsets & would probably be strong enough to use on the track.

BTW, why not use 15" centerlocks to mount the big Goodyear or Avon slicks. That look is awesome! It loses something aesthetically when you go to lower profile tires. If you need the wider variety of tires in 17", then I guess you gotta go that route...and of course with 15"'s, you will need 930 or 917 brakes to fit in there! My vote is for 15"'s but 17" practicality will probably win out.

Sorry I did not explain myself correctly.
They cast the center, cut it and then bolt it to outer rims. EXACTLY how Kraftwerkz do it.
They can do 15", 16", 17" diameters and we customize witdh and offset.

Appearance aside there are benefits to the 18s..

Are you serious? Those guys with GT3 Cup cars must have a really rough time finding track tires, and all of those 993, 996, 997's etc must have to constantly replace their bent wheels...

Maybe it needs 2 sets of wheels?
Set of retro 15 or 16 Fuchs with soft riding 40 or 45 series tires for the street.
2nd a set of 17s or 18s with 35 or 30 series DOT race rubber.
I have a set of Toyo RA-1s on 18s for my street/DE tire.
Time to photo shop some various rim styles/diameters on your awesome ride.
