A/C compressor clutch replacement

I just received my a/c comrpressor clutch and was wondering can the clutch be replaced while the compressor is still in the car?

What year is your car? Assuming it's an 84+ with the Nippondenso compressor, here's a Tech Article that might be helpful. From the description in the article, it sure sounds like you can remove the clutch while the compressor is still in the car. Maybe our resident a/c guru, Jim Sims, will chime in. If he does, take his advice to the bank -- it's gold!

Good luck.

Then it's got the Nippondenso compressor. From what the Tech Article says, it sure sounds like you can remove the clutch without removing the compressor from the car.
