Question Door Locking Mechanism?

On my 1976 911, I need some help identifying what is what dealing with my door locks. In the first photo, I see a round hole where it looks like one of the "locking knobs" should go, but that hole is covered with fabric. Can someone take a photo and tell me what that side of the door is supposed to look like? How easy is it to install one of those door locking knobs?
In the second photo, there is a little red (almost transparent) nipple that looks as if it is used as some sort of security device. Is that stock? I have one of them on each door trim. What is/was their use?

Porsche Crest

The red nipple is a LED used for alarm purposes (not factory).

The GREEN arrow is your lock pin. The RED arrow is the power mirror knob. It looks like someone removed your lock pin an put in a LED in it's place. It's not factory. See pic:

Ohhhhh, so my car has/used to have electric mirrors? That's awesome! I don't have to take the whole door panel off to reconnect the power mirrors, do I? Also, should it be easy to reinstall the locking pin?
Thanks!

BTW, do any of you know if a 1976 even came with power mirrors?
I'm thinking the P.O. might have installed another door panel...

I recall that the C2's had the door lock pin with a tiny LED installed in the center. P/N 928-637-138-00
