Fender rolling, how is it done?
1983 SC
I have recently been involved in a tread re tires and sizes front and rear. I have Fuchs 7/8. the 8s are 245/45 in the rear no problems. The rear 7s were promoted to the front with the old 225/50s. 75% worn. I have some rubbing on the left side against the inner fender lip. I realize I can install less rubber on the fronts, IE 205s but I do like the new stance and better grip of the 225s. I am trying not to change the overall geometry of the alignment, daily driver, so i do not wish to run-1.5 degree chamber. I know what fender rolling is and the benefits. How is it done? Can it be done at home, special tools, technique...? As always, appreciate your responses in advance.

You need a real special tool. A Louisville Slugger.
Place the bat between the tire and fender lip. Roll the bat back and forth along the arc of the fender lip. This repeated action will fold the lip up against the inside of the fender. Use caution and go slow, because this procedure may crack the paint on the edge. Also you may need to start with the car raised slightly to allow better clearance for the bat. Repeat procedure by lowering the car a little at a time until you get the car fully lowered and the lip full rolled.
