the measure are this really from a 930

I will like to now if this measure are really form a 930 (911 turbo) from 1983.
I sent this measure to a wheel dealer and told him that this is from my 930.
And he told me the measure are not from a 930, because he made many wheel for 930 and the measure did not mach.
Now I like to know, what I ride in is a 930?
But the chasis number tell me that I have a 930.
He sent me my wheels (11Jx18 ET-16) but the offset did not mach with my car.
See fotos

Are you saying you are not sure if you have a 930? How about posting the whole VIN and maybe a picture of the engine.

If you ar running a spacer, have you removed it to see if the wheel goes over everything without rubbing? I dont have a 930, and I've heard they use a small spacer on the rear to get the wheel out a little further.

Garage
I measured about 14" from the chassis to the fender lip which is close to the 345 mm you have. It looks like you need to machine your spacer down some. I figure I can get a 11.5 inch wheel in mine so your 11 inch wheel should fit.

What is your clearance to the caliper?

Well, I can see a spacer lying on the ground in the photos, so there is no help to be had there. By my calculations, the new wheels will have an extra 28mm of front-spacing, so after the spacer is removed the outside lip of the new wheels should be in about the same spot in the fender well, and obviously, from the photos, they are not. I'd suggest you measure the new wheels to see if the offset is really what the seller claims.

JR

I just re-calculated my numbers and found that I made an error. The outer lip of the new wheels should be further into the wheel well than the stock wheels, if the offset is a true -16.

Thanks all,
I did install the wheel without the spacer.
Take a good look to the pictures.
But I like to now if the measure that I made are the same on yours 930.
The engine number/chassis number/interior are turbo, but when the wheeldealer told me that the measures are not from a turbo, that put me on doubt.
But I have the car for 2 years now, and my hart tell me that I have a turbo.
About the wheel I will sent them back to to the wheeldealer in Germany (http://www.kerscher-tuning.de/felgen/show.php?shopid=106468813470845&id=2).
So he has to make another or ajust those wheel to fit on my car.

ignac002,

Can you measure the wheels before you send them back and let us know what the offset is?

Thanks,
JR

just finish measure the wheels.
So see picture.
They are -17 offset, maybe a wrong measure but they come close to -16.
So I think that they are -16.

Well, that latest drawing helps a lot. You may throw away my previous comments as they are all wrong, now that I understand what you have. The widest factory wheel fitted to the 930 was the 9x16 and, even after you throw away the spacer, these 18 inch wheels will still protrude further out than the 9x16 by a good 40mm. No wonder you have a problem. What does the wheel maker recommend for an offset? What tire size do you plan to use?

Nice drawings, by the way.

JR

Hi,
The wheel maker recommended me an offset of -16 for 11 inch width wheel and a -22 for a 10,5.
The tire size that I plan to use are 295/30/18ZR N1, N2 or N3 code, but it depend on the price.
