CV bolts
reuse or replace? Are the actual bolts different between the 6 and 4 bolt halfshaft assemblies?

Sherman,
Go here: ”Reconstructing Constant Velocity (CV) Joints” No need to start a new thread. Best, Grady

Yes and yes. The 6-bolt versions are either M8x50 or M10x50 or M10x60 depending on Turbo and non-Turbo and the 4-bolt version is a M10x50 and they can be re-used if you don't damage the allen head.

thanks guys. I appreciate the help.
It looks like the hardware is cheap so replacing it is a no brainer for me. I'll go back through Randy's thread and figure out what to do. Everything Im working with is from a '79, so I should have the 100mm CV halfshafts. I got a new pair of them from UPS today so maybe the hardware is already in the box. I always replace them, like you said cheap. I just buy them at the local Metric supply house, of course they are easy to find up here!
Cheers
