Does '83 SC still need drivetrain upgrades

I had a mechanic tell me that the necessity to replace chain tensioners and headstuds was thoroughly overblown because Porsche made the '83 SC upgrades themselves (930 tensioners, improved studs, etc) Is this true?
Thanks,

K

My mechanic says that until your timing chains start to make noise on the SC, you do not need Carrera tensioners. That can be a couple hundred thousand miles, depending.

Head studs, if they're not loose, don't leak, leave them.

mine is an 83 with only 75000 miles. Had 3 broken studs and one very weak tensioner. i would say they all have problems in these areas.
