911/930 Front Lower Control Arm (A-Arm) Compatability

Can anyone tell me if 930 front control arms are interchangeable with 1971 911 a-arms? Also, if they are not what is the difference or could someone refer me to a source of information that could explain the differences?

Thanks In Advance.

They would bolt into place ... but they have the wrong mounts for you anti-roll bar links. The loops would have to be cut & ground off to affix 'U-tabs' for the through-the-body anti-roll bar linkage to hook-up properly. Not a major project, but since the last 930 was built in 1989 ... you have to deal with the issue of worn-out bushings sooner or later! Unless your control arms are bent or rusted-out, why not just clean, repaint, and replace the bushings?

A-Arms

Warren,

Thanks for the information. I have the opportunity for purchasing a set that seem to have the tabs for the earlier car, but the seller is claiming that these arms for a 930 but they have the early tabs that seem to accomodate the early through body sway bars.

I was thinking that if I could have a seperate set that it would be easier to rebuild them and than install and sell the originals.

Thanks
Danb

The early 930s had the thru-body sway bar. I'm not sure about the late ones.

Later 930s have the later style, one-piece sway bars.
