Broken Case - Can we fix this without a total rebuild?
Howdy All,
Well, I just bought my 2.2 and got it home. I was almost ready to drop it in but had to remove the oil line. It was rusted and nasty and when I gave it a little to much push... IT BROKE!!! ARGGGGG Broke my heart. Anyway, before I rip the entire motor apart, is this something we can fix without a total tear down of the engine? Thanks all. Eric ![]() ![]() |

What exactly am I looking at here? Is that a piece of broken oil line stuck in the engine? You should be able to remove that without dropping the engine, if you proceed carefully.

This is the oil intake on the bottom of the engine. It broke the flange where the hose connects to. Do you need more pictures?
Thanks for the help. Eric
