The pic of the car may help visualize better. A chip can be viewed at www.PaintScratch.com

Peru Red

Changes color with the light. Not great pix, but will give you an idea.

I bought a new Peru Red 911 in 1974. It was a beautiful color...reminded me of the color of V-8 juice, of all things.

If I could to afford to order a new 997 GT3 in "Paint to Sample", it would be paint code 042, Peru Red!

Here's Peru. Not my car but this is - as far as I am concerned - the BESt example of Peru Red that I have seen:

Notice in the last shot the original huge bumperettes. The owner, Patrick, has since backdated those.

Talking Peru Red

Thanks to all that replied that gives me a clear idea of the color. the reason I asked because I just purchased a 1976 930/935 DP conversion in Peru red and had a PPI done and was told by the porsche tech that it was not his favorite color and had me pretty worried. all I wanted from him is to check the car structual & operational strengh and did not care for his remark.

I have never seen the car but only in pictures that I have attached, all I can say is I'm excited and can't wait and I'm the proud owner of a very clean 930 turbo. the car arrives to me this Wed.

Screw 'im, it ain't his money and you didn't ask him for an opinion on its cosmetic appeal. When he spends HIS money he can make that comment. Buy what you like and enjoy the hell out of it. Congrats on your purchase!
