? re: unused plug on dashboard
On my 82 SC, there's a round plug on the front of the dash, just to the left of the ventilation lever panel and behind the cruise-control stalk. It looks like it was used for some sort of control switch, but there's no reference to it in my owner's manual. I was also wondering if it pushes out from the back as I'm looking for a spot to mount an auxiliary switch and I don't want to drill a hole in anything.
Thanks alot, Steve

I don't own an SC so I probably won't have a good answer unless my `87 has the same plug but a picture usually helps get the question answered faster.

Joe,
I don't own a digital camera.....I'm lucky that I can use the computer to post this question without accidentally launching a missle from some silo in Idaho. Steve

On my '86, that's where the interior temperature sensor is. In prior years it was located above the rear view mirror in the headliner. I'm not sure why there would be a knockout in the dash of an SC there.
