I have not been on the board for a while. i try to search a topic but cannot get anything to come up except parts and tech articles. Some help please!

Any chance you are using the wrong search button?
The "Search Pelican Parts:" search field at the top left searchs the "store" and some other stuff.
The little search button at the upper right searches the forums.

I am using the one at the bottom right

I don't see any Search button on the bottom right. The only thing on the bottom right for me is the "Rate this thread" box.

The gray button between faq and home on the top right should give you just forum search results.

He's right, I just tried to search the forum and all that comes up are parts. It does not show the results like it used to.

The way I search is from the “Forum Jump” button at the bottom of each page. At the top of the list of forums is “Search Forums.”

I hope Wayne polls us all before changing the search function – and it needs some repair.

The button works for me to scan the forums to find something. What button are you other dudes talking about?
