CIS to EFI - 3.2 EFI intake on 2.7 pix (part 1)

This is my newly built 2.7X engine. Ecams, 9.5:1 JE's, SSI's etc. I've gone back and forth on the intake, but decided to forego the carbs, bite the bullet, and go EFI. I purchased the Tbitz CIS to EFI kit (nice kit by the way), but decided to graft a 3.2 intake onto my 2.7 instead of modifying the CIS intake. Not quite a bolt-on, as it requires some porting to make the head match the runner diameter and injector port. Anyway here is a couple of pix of my progress today. I'm liking it. Looks pretty clean. Tomorrow, I'll finish the plumbing and a bit of the wiring.

Al,

I'm doing something similar with the 3.2 intake on a 3.0. What fuel rails are you going to use?

Mike

Mike,
I have the stock 3.2 rails, but I'm using the rails that came with the Tbitz kit. They are very high quality. I have to modify the angle and hole location on the mounting brackets, since they were designed for mounting the rails to the CIS intake, but I did that today and it was easy and worked great. More pix tomorrow. Keep me posted on your project and we can compare notes.

Regards,

Al
